Renovation Credit
As many of you know the Federal Government came announced a new tax credit (HRTC) for those individuals doing renovations to their home.
The renovations must occur between January 27th 2009 and February 1st 2010. The HRTC can be claimed for renovations and lasting alterations to a dwelling, or the land on which it sits. You must have proper receipts to benefit from this program the Government does not want to encourage the underground market of using cash to pay for the work and have no taxes paid by the renovator.
There is a time line on this program so now is the time to move forward with your renovations and get up to $1350 back from the Government.
